The art and the way at soandso

A KNOW-HOW, OF WHICH WE HAVE THE SECRET

We could keep it, well and truly sealed like our jewels. But no...

Our most precious manufacturing secret is sharing, in complete confidence. Since we are galvanized by this passion, we offer you to be a part of it.

To each his own traditions! Here are ours, set with French excellence... well kept.

C for Craft

THE CREATION

Here's the first step in the manufacturing process is a model of a template, made by jewelers and leatherworkers.

THE FOUNDERY

Direction the Drôme provençale, other bucolic districts of soandso. There, from the first model made in Aix-en-Provence, a mold is designed. By lost wax casting, the desired piece is made of metal. A technique of the art professions, this process is the prerogative of shapes as fine as complex.

Metals

FINISHES

Polishing or setting, our jewelry is finished with a finger and an eye: ours. All the assemblies take place there, by hand whatever the combinations, objects of all our care.

ELECTROPLATING

A big word, certainly, but it galvanizes our jewelry, durably. Take solid silver 925/1000, or even brass for some of our rare references; apply a layer of gold by electrolysis... Treated as it is on the surface, here is our/your jewel ready for a long time!

Leather

TANNERY

Goat leather, tenderizing the Caillou collection, or cowhide, softening the Oursin collection, all our leathers are of French or Italian origin. Recognized for their excellence, the two leather manufacturers we have chosen guarantee vegetable tanning: in other words, without chrome. As a bonus to this sustainable development, these qualities of skin patinate with time. To be worn without moderation...

LEATHER GOODS

Since the work doesn't always stop at metalwork, this renowned workshop is another precious ally. Master of small leather goods, from the sheathing of the leather to the polishing of the edges, it ensures that our bracelets are sewn by hand and that various subtleties are handled with care. It seems like nothing, everything is about details.

But still...

CASES, LIKE JEWELS

Larch, pine, car boards sanded and coated with Judean bitumen... Old desks reworked into confidential showcases... Creations ex-nihilo under the fire of an ironmonger working in the tradition of the trades of yesteryear: hot, with a hammer on the anvil. Home-made elbow grease or complementary know-how, nothing is too beautiful or singular to highlight our rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
