Favourites

soandso cultivates its love of raw, authentic and natural elements by moving its creations to worlds close to its own or by sharing, in its store in Aix-en-Provence, its favorites.

These local or more distant collaborations have in common the attachment to handmade work where nature is omnipresent!

Château La Coste

ART IN THE VINEYARDS

A meeting with an exceptional place where contemporary art is associated with the love of the vine and the old stones. The Bancaou collection in silver, then silver and gold, was born, composed of small harmoniously irregular pieces, like an echo of the dry stones of the low walls of the Provencal landscape.
To be found exclusively at the bookstore of the art center of Château La Coste and at the soandso store in Aix-en-Provence.

Motoko Saigo

PRECIOUS CERAMICS

Having fallen under the spell of Motoko's creations during a trip to Paris, Sophie, the creator of soandso, wanted to showcase this unique work in her store in Aix-en-Provence. The alchemy of Motoko's ceramic pieces and Sophie's jewelry makes sense.

There is an air of resemblance in these creations which mix the rough and the smooth, the exquisite simplicity with the assured elegance.

Mad and Len

OLFACTORY JOURNEYS

The south of France is the common setting for Mad et Len's pots pourris and perfumes and soandso's jewelry.
The passion for travel and the materials offered by nature, such as resin or volcanic stones, are found there. The perfumes are raw, devoid of pomp and handcrafted.
The hand forged cases inspired by the spirit of the apothecaries of the beginning of the last century, halfway between sophistication and purity, harmonize wonderfully in Sophie's boutique-workshop.

Olivier Girault

The randomness will guide me to the unexpected, where I did not think to go, where precisely my artistic work begins.
These words of the artist make sense in Sophie's choice to highlight the works of the painter in the boutique-atelier of Aix-en-Provence.

If the sensitivity to the work of an artist requires no explanation, it can resonate in common affinities. This is the case of Olivier Girault's work, whose landscapes as well as interiors, melted and luminous, subtly evoke the meeting between matter, intention and forms, promised to the miracles of chance... The soul of Sophie's jewels is embodied in this timeless nature, conducive to contemplation and reverie. If soandso were painting...
